HELPING SCHOOLS NOURISH STUDENTS
At ProTeam, we believe engaging and efficient child nutrition programs are an integral component of ensuring students can thrive. Our team consists of experts with diverse experience in every component of child nutrition – menus, facilities, operations, administration, staff management, regulatory compliance, etc. – with a singular goal: Help programs run effectively so children are fed well.
OUR STORY
ProTeam Foodservice Advisors was founded in 2014 by Carolyn Breeding and Paul Mackesey. Child nutrition programs across the country were grappling with rapidly changing federal regulations and the challenge of creating engaging, compliant, and affordable meals for students. Carolyn – a licensed dietitian by trade – recruited Paul –a foodservice design and operational consultant – to create a suite of services to empower child nutrition professionals with the resources to meet the demands of a quickly changing programatic landscape.
Drawing on their network from more than 30 years of industry experience, Paul and Carolyn built a small team of consultants with a broad range of experience from school menus to program administration. This small team steadily grew and, with it, ProTeam’s suite of services expanded to meet the needs of customers of all sizes.
Now, more than a decade later, ProTeam is a full-service child nutrition consulting firm with nearly 30 team members who are each deeply passionate about carrying out the essential work of ensuring students are fed nutritious meals they are excited about.
