FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Pricing is dependent on the size of your district and the number of menus/cycle weeks you offer. For subsequent years with the same prime vendor, the cost of our dietitian support service will decrease. Contact us for a quote.

  • Your assigned K-12 dietitian will build your menus in the software based on your district’s customized menus. We will provide technical assistance to bring menus into compliance and, if requested, offer suggestions to increase student acceptability.

  • Each contract includes one or more menu change packages. We will incorporate changes to the base menu to accommodate changes based on student preferences, seasonal changes, product availability, etc.

  • Yes, we have access to thousands of ingredients and recipes in our software system that we can customize for your district according to the exact products you order. In addition, our dietitians are well versed in the Food Buying Guide and will assess new recipes your district would like to try for creditable portioning and, if needed, make suggestions to alter recipes to meet meal pattern requirements.

  • We include detailed recipe preparation instructions, that includes HACCP information, for each recipe to ensure creditable portions are being served. We also consider scalability when building recipes in the software.

  • The menu software and support services are an annual subscription.

  • ProTeam is a partner with Cool School Café and offers the opportunity to use district points towards the purchase of any of our services.
